Functional fabrics

Finishes that decide how a fabric handles everyday life — from spilled coffee to pet hair and heavy use. Below is each technology, how it works, and the collections it appears in.

Easy to clean

EASY CLEAN

A nanoparticle finish that blocks dirt from penetrating the weave

The fabric carries a nanoparticle-based finish whose composition effectively blocks dirt from penetrating the weave. Even difficult stains can be removed without reaching for cleaning agents.

  • 01Nanoparticles limit how far dirt penetrates the structure of the fabric.
  • 02Even stubborn stains come out without strong cleaning agents.
  • 03Everyday care is simpler and quicker.

Slows down liquid absorption

WATER REPELLENT

A hydrophobic coating that limits how fast liquids soak in

The fabric is covered with a protective layer forming a hydrophobic coating that guards against liquids soaking in quickly. Water is not absorbed immediately — instead it beads up on the surface of the material.

  • 01A dedicated protective layer forms a hydrophobic coating.
  • 02Liquids are not absorbed by the material straight away.
  • 03Spills bead up on the surface, which buys you time to react.
  • 04The technology slows liquids from soaking deep into the fabric.

Pet friendly

PET FRIENDLY

A technology that makes hair and everyday dirt easier to remove

PET FRIENDLY keeps animal hair from working its way into the fabric and makes it easier to lift off. Cleaning your furniture takes less effort.

  • 01Hair does not easily embed itself in the fabric.
  • 02Removing hair from the surface is simpler and faster.
  • 03Everyday dirt lifts more easily from furniture used around pets.

Made from recycled material

RECYCLED POLYESTER

A technology built on yarn spun from recycled materials

Recycled Polyester uses yarn produced from recycled plastics. One running metre of fabric is made from 37 processed PET bottles, and the whole production process puts less strain on the environment.

  • 01The yarn is produced from recycled materials.
  • 02One metre of fabric equals 37 processed PET bottles.
  • 03The production process puts less strain on the environment.
  • 04A lower carbon footprint than standard polyester production.

HIGH DURABILITY

Fabrics with raised resistance to abrasion and stains

Fabrics designed for heavy use — with increased abrasion resistance confirmed by the Martindale test, and raised protection against stains. Built for spaces where furniture works every day.

  • 01Increased resistance to abrasion.
  • 02Raised protection against stains.
  • 03Suited to heavily used interiors.

Cleaning and care

Rules shared by all of our fabrics. Following them extends the life of the material regardless of technology.

  1. 01Do not let the fabric become soaked. Do not scrub the surface, rub the stain in, or use strong chemicals.
  2. 02For stains we recommend grey soap — effective and gentle, with no risk of damaging the fabric.
  3. 03Avoid abrasive tools that could damage the texture of the fabric.
  4. 04Rinse the cleaned area thoroughly and evenly to avoid watermarks.
  5. 05Do not let the air get too dry — dry air increases static in fabrics.

Certificates and standards

Our fabrics meet the highest international standards of quality and safety.

  • OEKO-TEX Standard 100Textile safety certificate
  • ISO 9001International quality management system
  • REACHCompliance with European chemical safety standards
  • Global Recycled StandardCertificate for recycled materials
